At Pioneer Veterinary Services, Dr. Safnuk offers medical acupuncture for our companion animal and equine patients.
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is the application of sterile needles into specific points which can improve function and comfort of certain muscles, organs and nerves. Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment for easing pain and improving comfort and to return to normal function quicker while healing. The practice has been in existence for thousands of years, however, in the 1970’s veterinarians began working with human acupuncturists to establish points on animals.
